GET APPOINTMENTDr. Emine Eren-Koçak was graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2000. She completed her Psychiatry residency training at Başkent Universty, Faculty of Medicine between years 2000 and 2005. On 2005, she started the Neuroscience PhD program at Institute of Neurological Sciences and Psychiatry. She worked 2 years for her dissertation thesis at University of Michigan, at Huda Akil’s Laboratory and completed her PhD degree on 2009.
She received Project Support Award of Brain Research Society and Project Support Award of Psychiatric Association of Turkey on 2005. She won Novartis Foundation bursary on 2007, with which she worked at University of Michigan, MBNI. In 2007, she won a scholarship for the the fellowship program for integrated doctoral studies of Turkish Academy of Sciences. She continued her work at University of Michigan by this scholarship. Her Project entitled “The relationship between GFG (FGF2-AS) levels and depression- and anxiety-like behavior in rats and investigation of antidepressant action of GFG inhibition by RNA interference” was supported by NationalYoung Researchers Carrier Development Program of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
She is currently working at Institute of Neurological Sciences and Department of Psychiatry at Hacettepe University.
