Dr Özışık graduated from TED Ankara Collage in 1994. She completed her medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2000. She completed her specialty education at Baskent University Faculty of Medicine Internal Medicine Department in 2007.

She served at Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Research and Training Hospital Department of Internal Medicine between 2007- 2012. She became a faculty member at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Internal Medicine in 2012. Her research interests include acute medicine, preventive medicine and palliative care.
