After graduation from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1997, he finished his residency in Hacettepe University Pathology Department in 2002. Then he conducted research on colorectal cancer subject as a postdoctoral fellow in University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (2002-2007). Starting from end of the 2007, he is holding academic position in Pathology Department. Also he established Hacettepe University Transgenic Animal Technologies Research and Application Center and serving as director of Center since 2013.
He is interested in gastrointestinal system and liver pathology. His research focus on molecular mechanisms of cancer, colorectal cancer, mouse models of colorectal cancer and transgenic techniques.
