Department of Pediatric Mental Health And Diseases
Pediatric and adolescent mental health and diseases department is not only concerned with biologic aspects of diseases but behavioural and social aspects, therefore it assists education and protective health. The Department of Pediatric Mental Health and Diseases provides service like a policlinic at Hacettepe University İhsan Doğramacı Children’s Hospital particularly by the experienced academic members of the Department of Pediatric Mental Health and Diseases of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. Inpatients are followed at the psychiatry and pediatrics departments. Within the body of the Department, there is a play room and group room that have required equipment.
The Department of Pediatric Mental Health and Diseases provides service by two spatial structures at Hacettepe İhsan Doğramacı Children’s Hospital: academic members section and policlinic section.
The department provides consultation service for projects aiming at developing policies for children and teenagers in Turkey. In addition, Ministry of Education, Turkish Social Service and Children Protection Institution, Ministry of Justice (Juvenile Courts) and private educational institutions are offered consultation services.
Missions of the department include individual psychotherapy, group therapy, play therapy, group therapy with psychodrama method, family therapy, pharmacological therapy, forensic psychiatry, social service practices, education counselling for schools, preventive mental health services for the society and psychometric assessments.

Academic Members Section
Academic Members Section of the Department is on the 4th floor of Hacettepe İhsan Doğramacı Children’s Hospital. Enter into the building from the door 1 or 2, walk through the corridor on the right, near the information desk, and take the elevator at the end of the corridor across the pay desk to the 4th floor. In this unit, there are Head of the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Mental Health and Diseases, offices of faculty members, service rooms of two clinical psychologists working within the department and a social service specialist, two visiting rooms, a meeting room, report secretariat and the Secretariat of the Department.

Policlinic Section
Policlinic Section of the Department is on the 4th floor of Hacettepe İhsan Doğramacı Children’s Hospital. Enter into the building from the door 1 or 2, walk through the main corridor of Hacettepe Adult Hospital, and take the elevator on the left to the 4th floor. The door across the elevator on the 4th floor is the door of the policlinic of the Department of Pediatric Mental Health and Diseases. There are a play and group room, three visiting rooms and the Policlinic Secretariat within this unit.
