Social Pediatrics Unit of Hacettepe University İhsan Doğramacı Children’s Hospital still offers service in Well Baby Outpatient Clinic and Diarrhea and Oral Fluid Therapy Outpatient Clinic.
In Well Baby Outpatient Clinic follow up of pediatric healthcare is carried out. Within the scope of service, mostly the growths and developments of children over 2 years of age are followed up, children are vaccinated, mothers and families receive trainings on child health and care and they are consulted on breast-feeding.
A total of 30 children with appointments, 15 in the morning and 15 in the afternoon, are examined in Well Baby Outpatient Clinic per day.
In Diarrhea and Oral Liquid Therapy Outpatient Clinic, the diagnoss, treatments and orientations of children who applied Hacettepe University İhsan Doğramacı Children's Hospital with diarrhea are carried out. "Oral rehydration therapy” (transfusing liquid intravascularly, if required) is used to treat dehydrated children (showing thirst symptoms) intravascularand these events are followed up in outpatient services without hospitalization.
The academic staff of the unit offer consultation service to national and international institutions (such as Ministry of Health and UNICEF) on child health programs conducted in world and in Turkey.
In our department, the outpatient clinic appointments are scheduled by dialing 444 4 444 and clicking “Online Appointment” link.
Appointments for children under the age of 5 (71 months and below) will be scheduled in accordance with the below mentioned situations.
• Growth retardation,
• Growth assessment,
• Loss of appetite,
• Nutrition problems,
• Brest-feeding
Well Baby Outpatient Clinic is located on the third floor of Outpatient Clinic Building (Block 1) of Hacettepe University İhsan Doğramacı Children's Hospital, Diarrhea and Oral Liquid Therapy Center is located on the ground floor of the same building, at the end of the Blue-Green Outpatient Halls.
